Edward Mattila Professor of Music Theory & Music Composition, Emeritus
Edward Mattila was a member of the KU music faculty from 1964 until his retirement in 1998. An active composer of new and electronic music, Mattila directed the KU Electronic Music Studio for many years, and was active in the organization of the KU Symposium of Contemporary Music.
Mattila moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 2001.
