Teaching art is an exciting endeavor that depends upon a good two-way communication between the instructor and the student. My goal is to help students to fully realize their artistic potential. I encourage building a strong conceptual foundation, a clear understanding of formal issues, as well as the development of technical skills. Through a process of encouragement and honest straightforward criticism, I hope to introduce my students to broad concepts and critical perspectives that will be useful throughout their lives whatever their choice of discipline.
