I have no doubt that much of my success today is rooted in my attendance at KU's Textile Design program!

Liv Grant

Major: Textile Design

Graduation Year: 2010

What are you doing now?

I design home goods, clothing and accessories for my handcrafted company liv+work. We focus on quality and unique handmade pieces that are created with American materials, sourced from fellow American businesses. I have recently been so busy with shows, gallery exhibits and commissions that liv+work now has two employees! We're growing and ready to keep going! You can now shop our products via our online shop(www.livandwork.com) and shops/boutiques/museums in Wichita, Chicago, Atlanta and Paris.

How did KU prepare you for life and career after college?

My experience in the Textile program at KU was amazing. The class size was intimate but energetic. In studio we were constantly gaining inspiration from one another and helping to problem solve — I still keep in touch with many of them! A reoccurring professor of mine, Mary Anne Jordan, was such an integral part of my growth as a student and as a designer. I have no doubt that much of my success today is rooted in my attendance at KU's Textile Design program!
